Johanna Brad, can you be a doll and drive me to drop off my car during lunch?
Brad Sure. Why are you dressed to kill like that today?
Johanna It’s been my experience that if I dress up, I get treated better by men.
And it’s mostly men who work at a garage.
Brad Yeah, but the other side of the coin is they’ll figure you don’t know anything about cars and could stiff you by doing unnecessary work and then charging you too much for it
Johanna That’s where you come in, Brad. When we both go in to the shop, you can be the one to drop the keys off an talk to them.
Brad I suppose I could do that. Why don’t you tell me what’s wrong with your car so I know what we’re dealing with here?
Johanna It’s making a clicking noise, and the last time I was at the garage they gave me an estimate on getting my front brakes fixed.
Brad Well, let’s go outside and show me what you mean by your car making a clicking noise, and show me that estimate as well if you have it.
