록이나 메탈이 좋다면 한번쯤은 '록 발라드' 세계에 빠져보았을 것 같다. 감미로운 도 있겠고 의 찌를듯한 파워도 있겠고 같은 변치않을 전설도 있겠지.
주머니가 변변치 않던 중고등학교 시절 듣고 싶은 음악은 많고 속사정은 못따라와주고 그래서 이른바 배어리어스 앨범, 컴필레이션 앨범에 상당수 의존했었다. 그렇게 인연을 맺어 새롭게 알게 된 그룹들도 여럿 있다.
그때엔 발라드 모음집같은 것 나오면 하나씩 사곤 했는데 워너에서 나온 것중 'Heavy Metal Ballad' 모음집이란게 있었다. 그 앨범에서 가장 깔끔하면서 록발라드치고는 청아함이 두드러진, 맑은 곡이다.
