1. The role of 007, of course this time, went to the actor Daniel Craig and he can act. Paula Newton has more now on his debut as the suave, secret agent.

2. Cue that music. And enter the new Bond, James Bond. Throw in the Bond babes, the action, the cars.
"It doesn't bother you, killing those people?"
And shake, don't stir.
"I wouldn't be very good at my job if it did"
It's been a bankable formula for almost 45 years but this time they're starting from scratch. And what a gamble. Daniel Craig is the new incarnation of 007.
3. As a back to the basics, Bond, no gadgets, more grit. Reality? That hasn't exactly been Bond's currency with fans, happy to see 007 in a world they could escape to, not the one they live in.
"The man is Le Chiffre. Private banker to the world's terrorist."
But this is the post 9/11 Bond, and producers felt it was time for a down-to-earth makeover.
4. And a new man, Daniel Craig, was introduced as the new Bond in over-the-top style, coming out of the Thames and out of the blue for some. British tabs dubbed him Bland, James Bland.

"I was just a bit kind of stung by it, it was like well, how do I respond to that and there's nothing in fact I could have done. There's no response except to just get on with it and to make the movie."
5. Craig, beefed up and anted up, doing many of his own stunts.
"Well I'm gobsmacked, a lot of people said at the beginning that perhaps he wasn't the man for the job, well they have been proved wrong, very wrong."
"What about a drink in my place?"
But can he carry this thing? Craig is Bond number six, but the last 007, Pierce Brosonan in 'Die Another Day' banked almost a half billion dollars worldwide.
So cue that music again. If this Bond wants to keep his job, he can't just be licensed to kill. He has to be proven to sell.

4. 새 본드, 크레이그의 신고식은 요란했습니다. 템즈강을 가르며 돌연히 등장한 그를 영국 타블로이드들은 '김빠진 제임스'라고 비아냥거렸습니다.
"상처를 받기는 했지만, 제가 취할 수 있는 조치도 없었죠. 열심히 영화를 찍는 것 외에는 달리 방법이 없었습니다."
5. 큰 관심 속에 제작된 영화에서 크레이그는 스턴트도 직접 나섰습니다.
"놀랐습니다. 처음에는 배역 선정이 잘못됐다는 회의적인 시각이 많았는데, 억측임이 입증됐습니다."
흥행에도 성공을 거둘까요? 크레이그는 6대 제임스 본드입니다. <007 어나더 데이>에서 5대 제임스 본드, 피어스 브로스넌은 5억 달러의 수익을 올렸습니다.
크레이그 주연의 007 시리즈가 계속 나오려면, 살인 임무 뿐 아니라 '흥행 성공'이라는 미션에도 성공해야 합니다.
